The Worcester Cultural Coalition and City’s Cultural Development Office, in partnership with Bay State Savings Bank, Destination Worcester and New Garden Park, Inc., the 501(c)(3) subsidiary of the Worcester Business Development Corporation are working with a group of creative artists and entrepreneurs to create Worcester PopUp. The Worcester Pop Up has relocated to 20 Franklin after its inital success at 38 Franklin Street. The goal is to reactivate underutilized downtown storefronts by bringing creativity to life through rotating art exhibitions, brilliant performances, music, good food, arts and 3D printing, and inspiring hands on activity. Since 2014, the Worcester Pop Up has invited artists and entrepreneurs to share art, sell delicious locavore food, host creative workshops and present other performances. The Worcester Pop Up offers free space but require that you help prepare the space, staff, and promote your activity through social media. Over 1,000 people have participated in Pop Up events with more yet to come. Please contact Erik Bilides, Pop Up Co-coordinator, at email@example.com if you are interested in hosting an event.
Check out the Worcester Pop Up Facebook Page for upcoming events.
